The video, framed as a lighthearted social experiment, shows the woman orchestrating a staged confrontation with her mother-in-law. The husband’s shocked reaction heightened by exaggerated visuals such as a bowl of garri poured on the woman’s head has triggered laughter and debate online.
At the heart of the prank lies a deeper commentary on the tension between modern relationship dynamics and traditional African family values, where respect for elders, particularly in-laws, is considered non-negotiable.
