Warri South LG Chairman Applauded for Transforming Education.

The Chief Inspector of Education (CIE) for Warri South Local Government, Dr. Ugbejeh Samson, has commended the Executive Chairman of Warri South, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, for his remarkable contributions to the educational sector in the area.

Speaking on Tuesday, June 24, at the Warri South Council Secretariat during the official distribution of branded notebooks to all public primary schools in the LGA, Dr. Ugbejeh praised the Chairman’s commitment to improving learning outcomes through sustained investment in infrastructure and pupil support initiatives.

He highlighted key interventions, including the renovation and construction of school buildings, provision of chairs, and the awarding of scholarships, all of which he said have created a more conducive learning environment, boosted enrolment, and enhanced both pupil performance and teacher productivity.

“The Chairman’s policies are yielding visible results. Education in Warri South has become more accessible and effective due to these efforts,” Dr. Ugbejeh stated.

However, he raised concerns over the recurrent vandalisation of school property, attributing it to the absence of security personnel in many schools. He called on the local government to address the issue to consolidate the gains already made in the education sector.

While acknowledging that more work needs to be done, the CIE affirmed that Comr. Agbateyiniro’s administration has laid a solid foundation for educational progress in Warri South, urging continued collaboration to tackle lingering challenges.
