Where Is My Son? – Heartbroken Mother Demands Answers as Babcock University Student Mysteriously Vanishes

A cloud of anxiety hangs over Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, as a distraught mother, Fijabi Oyindamola Omotayo, takes to social media in a desperate plea for the safe return of her missing son, Oladipupo Siwajuola, a student of the prestigious private university.

In an emotionally charged Facebook livestream, Omotayo, visibly shaken and teary-eyed, recounted how she personally dropped her son off at the university on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Since that day, she has heard nothing from him.

Please help me tell Babcock University to produce my son. I cannot sleep, I cannot breathe. Where is my child?” she cried.

She further expressed frustration over the university’s response, claiming staff brushed off her concerns, suggesting students sometimes “hide on campus.” But for the grieving mother, such an explanation is not only unacceptable but dangerously dismissive.

My son is not a piece of furniture. I dropped him off. I have a right to know where he is.” she wrote in a separate post, demanding answers from the school and asking why two fellow students who last saw her son—Lampard and Tobi—are allegedly being shielded from questioning.

The case has since drawn public attention, with top government officials stepping in. Emmanuel Ojo, Special Assistant to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, confirmed that the state’s Commissioner for Education had already contacted Babcock University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ademola Tayo, who reportedly had no prior knowledge of the situation but promised immediate action.

Meanwhile, the school’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Dr. Joshua Suleiman, confirmed the report and disclosed that the university’s security department has launched an internal investigation.

Adding urgency to the matter, Ogun State Police Commissioner, Lanre Ogunlowo, verified that the case had just been formally reported and that officers were actively trying to liaise with the school’s authorities to resolve the matter.

As search efforts intensify, one thing remains painfully clear: a mother is missing her son, and a nation watches with bated breath for answers.
