The Director General of Warri, Uvwie and Environs Special Area Devt Agency, WUEDA, Hon. Prince Godwin Ejinyere has given the leadership of scrap dealers in the area 3 days ultimatum from Monday to produce the vandal who stole Govt’s sign posts placed by Uvwie Local Govt and WUEDA to prevent indiscriminate dumping of wastes in any part of the City.

Prince Ejinyere who stormed the scrap yard located by the WRPC bridge, Ekpan on Monday, was disappointed to hear that the scrap dealers who arrested the thief had released him without informing the Agency and Uvwie Local Council which placed the sign posts that were stolen.
He warned that if the vandal was not fished out before the end of Wednesday 22nd of this month, WUEDA would order the total closure of the scrap yard, and also stop scrap the business in its mandate areas.
Prince Ejinyere also warned the scrap dealers not to litter the environment with wastes as the Agency had spent money and time to evacuate the heaps of refuse in and around the area recently.
He said the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori has zero tolerance for a dirty envronment, as well as all forms of theft, urging the leadership of the scrap dealers to key into the Devt Agenda of the State Governor, for the benefit of residents of the Oil City.
He said the Agency’s Environment Task Force, including the Police and NSCDC, had been put on red alert to arrest and prosecute any person who indiscriminately dump refuse in any unauthorized places.
